That's true… you can even get old newspapers from your neighbors, then sell it back to them as kitty litter! Infinite money machine.

This is one way to prepare a simple and cheap cat litter. It is a great way to reuse all the old newspapers. It saves me the trouble of going to the shop to buy new cat litter.

Thanks! I'm getting rid of the car and was wondering how on earth I'm going to be able to schlep those heavy bags of sweat scoop up the hill.. I love the newspaper idea. The ironing it is worth the effort and wow, it's going to save me so much cash! yay!

i actually line it with bags, then line paper, then put in shedded paper.. the just roll it up….for quick clean up

I started using newspaper years ago & my cats actually prefer it to regular cat litter which can be expensive. I sprinkle a little baby powder in the litter boxes & always line it with flat newspaper before adding shredded paper.

"Kitty was booted"? "We all have to make sacrifices"? Dont take responsibility for an animal if you cant care for it. Cats are not wild animals, and outdoor only cats have a greatly reduced life expectancy. You should find a new loving home that can care for your cat, since you are too "green" to do it yourself… P.S. computers are in no way shape or form GREEN and you obviously use one, so get off your high horse.
